Mission and Values
BioTimber's mission is to provide you, the environmentally-responsible individual, with a 100% environmentally-friendly supply of water-recovered, old-growth lumber in rough-sawn, kiln-dried form.
We are committed to continuously finding new ways to minimize the ecological footprint of our company, and to ensuring that the environment is not harmed in our recovery or processing operations.
We currently take all steps financially-possible at this time to operate as a 'green corporation' - we've invested in a million-dollar RFV Kiln, we run biodiesel in our recovery craft, we practice the three Rs.
We realize that we still have a long way to go however, and look forward to the day when we can implement the following measures to become even less of a burden on the environment:- Installing solar and wind power to generate electricity to power our sawmill and office.
- Installing a geothermal heating system control the climate inside our buildings.
- Producing biodiesel using the soy beans that are grown on the 60 acre farm that houses our production facility.
- Using only 'green' shipping companies.
- Reducing our waste through all means available.
